Christmas Card 4 - Winter Sun

I used to think of Winter as a negative thing
A collection of things that it was not
Sunshine and warmth and holidays
It was the absence of Summer

But in time I came to see it
For what it positively was
Briskness and crispness and Christmas
The present of a presence

When you left
You left behind
A sense of absence
But I know that this will pass
