Windy

Blowing a gale making the choice of dog walk routes difficult. Ended up doing the Bannwald forest above Ottobeuren, especially as I needed to hand in a parcel for te grandchildren in Ireland. Was glad to get a message from daughter Kate that a parcel I had sent her from a South American -sounding- Web Shop had eventually arrived. They had not made it trackable but said it would arrive on Friday which would have been great as there was a family gathering at the weekend. Sadly only today did Postman Tosh open the frontdoor and leave the parcel in the front hall as he didn't need a signature - no tracking you see .... even if the contents worth a bob or two (I paid in GBP not in Euros).

The walk was a bit hair raising and did inspect several large trees befor walking past them. Heard a few large branches crash to the ground but most of the trees are spruce which tend to be "all or nothing".

The Blip taken from the forest carpark just a few hundered meters from the Basilica (extra photo) which was occassionally bathed in sunshine. Although windy it is relatively warm and the little snow on the alps will probably melt as we are due to have a period of "reverse" weather - warmer up high and colder in the valleys.
