Dickens of a Christmas

Today I went to the fair at Olney called a Dickens of a Christmas. The traders mostly dress in Victorian clothes and as well as traditional crafts, there are plenty of mince pies and mulled wine to be found.

Dickens is one of my favourite authors, and at this time of year I often re-read A Christmas Carol, so I thought I'd include a quote from that wonderful book:

“You are fettered," said Scrooge, trembling. "Tell me why?"
"I wear the chain I forged in life," replied the Ghost. "I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.”
