Bulldozia

Rubbish!

Apparently there was a football match on. But I had other things on my mind.

I occasionally respond to the weekly challenge issued by a San Francisco-based blogger, Marc Weidenbaum. Every Thursday since the beginning of the year Marc (or 'Disquiet', to refer to him by username) invites people to create a piece of music or sound-art in accordance with a set of instructions.

This week, the task was to sample the sounds of four items from your domestic garbage and make them into something that might sound like it could be the soundtrack to a public information film about recycling.

This is the set-up on the kitchen table, as I tried to capture the interactions of pizza box, cellophane wrapper (previously containing a pirate cutlass), banana skin and milk carton. The result, should you be foolish enough to be curious, is here.
