Polistes gallicus

These paper wasps have built their nest of bark stirpped from trees and mixed from their saliva. At this time of year they will prey on protein rich moth larvae and flies to feed their young.
The paper wasp larvae , in return for this protein rich food, feed the adult wasps a sweet liquid which it craves.
