Rock climbing

Picked up a small stone from the Kumara estuary and thought that could be useful for a macro. It was the textured layers I liked. Then I saw the little shell like things which I had to check up on and yes they are barnacles. I don't think I had ever thought what they were before.
It was a hard decision but went with the barnacles looking like they were climbing up the rock face and the other group on a wet surface.
Both taken with macro filter +10. The barnacles are miniscule.
