how can it be July 1?

Time is marching on at a spirited pace. Is it really July 1 and almost July 2?
Steven and I took a beach walk today on Longboat Key, partly to see what the beach looked like there after the Tropical Storm we had and partly just to spend some time together out of the house, one of our "date days". This date was local, after we spent time doing our various tasks, but it was so lovely and just what we needed. We topped it off with a early light dinner of cold shrimp and Cesar salad at the Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant. What a treat, especially as I thought we were going just for a drink!

I chose this photo, re-sized but otherwise straight out of my camera because it so correctly illustrated what our afternoon beach walk looked like and felt like to me. Enjoy a larger landscape here - that is someone stand-up paddle boarding while pulling someone else on an inner tube! The beach was different. A lot of sand had washed away . . .
