The Old Neighborhoods

This morning I found myself driving into a blighted section of the city for a meeting. There's always a warm nostalgic feeling that comes with returning to a part of your past, but it can be tempered when things are not as they were and today was such a moment.

Time has not been friendly to this part of the city. Though there were sparse sights of rejuvenated life, they were dwarfed by the failing businesses, and abandoned homes that littered the streets.

Signs of a downward spiral that needs to be corrected. There are many reasons, both good and bad, but one only needs to look inside of the hearts of everyone to know the answer.
