Derelict Sunday .....

We went off for our walk to a different place today.  We have walked here before but it had been a long time.

As usual I was on the look out for red squirrels but only saw a few Eastern Gray squirrels.  We saw several species of birds and heard (but didn't see) a belted kingfisher.  On our walk yesterday we also heard and saw a belted kingfisher.  I got several photographs of him/her but they were from quite a distance away. 

On our way back along the trail I saw these tiny mushrooms on a derelict tree that had fallen.
