Mixed Emotions

Today has been a day of contrasts.This morning Val's house was cleared ready for the new occupiers and it was difficult to see the familiar furniture loaded onto a van leaving empty rooms.After that we walked round to the church for the short internment service,I was pleased that she is close to my mum and her best friend.The extra picture shows her favourite yellow roses over the site before it is filled in. We then went for lunch at one of her favoured places and drank a toast to her and shared happy reminiscences about her long and interesting life. The blip shows the unusual choice of woolly pom poms as Christmas decs in the pub.
