Winter evening.

I liked the straight lines and colours. Compositionally, so much of what I love about winter in the UK is in this photo. Wine, coffee, the satisfying physical action of chopping wood, the mesmerising flicker of flames, the warmth of a fire, stories. Tomorrow I'm off to Tanzania for a couple of weeks, crazily I'm going to miss all these things. Except the coffee. The coffee is good in Tz.

Today I'm grateful for my wood burner, my beautiful wife and my fantastic kids. Not in that order.
