Sunshine on Garroch Head

Garroch Head on the island of Bute--the high ground in the centre of picture, is the outer limit of Clydeport Estuary Control and where the Clyde river pilots take command of ships going up-river, possibly all the way to King George V Dock in Govan near Glasgow city centre.

The Island of Wee Cumbrae, also in sunshine, is the land on the right.

The passage between the islands is approx. 3 km wide.
