Medieval Procession

This evening I popped into town as there was a Medieval procession in the city centre. The procession was to celebrate what they call crying in Christmas.
The City of Lincoln Waites  made a Medieval musical procession through the city. The tradition of Crying Christmas is believed to originate from the 16th century written by the Official Recorder for the Common Council of Lincoln, William Hyde, in 1565. It is thought to have been part of the Mayoral sponsorship of the city's Christmas events
I took over lots of shots the best ones can be seen HERE
