Where did the weir go?!

An awful lot of water has come down this past few weeks.  I took the train in to Leeds today for some last minute bits and pieces and the canal had breached in several places which is very unusual.  Back in Bingley I stopped to take this blip of the river from the bridge and failed to notice the dark sky beyond.  As I headed up the Twines the hailstorm hit and then wonderful Tammy, one of my ex-students, appeared like a Good Samaritan.  She had seen me getting very wet from the other side of the road, turned around in Bingley and come back up the hill to pick me up and drop me home - doesn't it just restore your faith!  Thank you again Tammy, have a lovely Christmas and a very special 2016! xx
