Thurstaston Common

Friday 11th Dec 2015 (1203)

A gentle start to the morning then Sue and I headed to Red Rocks. The wind was strong and it was colder than we expected, we moved on to the marine lake at West Kirby before retreating back to base to warm up and have lunch.

After a nice chat we went out to Thurstaston Common, where the lighting was wonderful. The blue sky made it look lovely but again it was cold and we didn't stay out long, it was back to base for a warm cuppa.

I had convinced Sue that night photography was fun so we waited for the sun to go down and then went back to the marine lake to give it a try. It was a good location but by then it was even colder so we didn't stay long!

Three interesting excursions and lots of chatting. A good day. I couldn't decide which photo to blip. It's interesting we've both chosen one from Thurstaston common, perhaps because of the lovely light. I've added some extras to reflect the day, including two after dark. The sea was quite rough but has been smoothed by the long exposure.

Back home and time to relax in front of the fire and TV.
