December sunrise

This shot was taken at 8.45 this morning. Louie came running and said "look at the sky Granmum" which I duly did, capturing some lovely colour just as Lola was heading to school. Soon the dark mornings will lessen and I'll need to get up earlier of I want to capture the sun rising. There was a cracking sunset today too, but I was in the car at that point. Don't know which of the the old shepherd's adages to believe "red sky in the morning" or "red sky at night"!
