Peeping Poppy Seedhead

We have lots of these in the garden now. The wind and rain have seen off a lot of the poppy petals. I think that they look a bit other worldly and I thought they reminded me of moomins or clangers. I have just g****** moomins and clangers and the creatures in these childrens' animated cartoons look nothing like this at all.

Strange, isn't it the connections that you can make in your head.
