Carved Skull with Leaf

3.7C and mostly dull and grey with a few rain showers around the middle of the day. Zephyr.

Apothecary7's day off. We went into Dundee and after a quick visit to the M&S Simply Food we had a walk up to the Howff with Maeve the Deerhound. It was disappointingly dull and the Howff was mostly in shadow. The carved skull (shot in low key) is from a little row on the end of a grave slab which is part of one of the paths in the Howff. I'm sure I hadn't noticed them before today. On the way back to the car we visited the Oxfam shop but we didn't see any books that caught our attention today. We went home via Broughty Ferry, where we wanted to visit a shop or two, and Monifieth.

After lunch I went for a walk. Mary Chapin Carpenter on the Nano (Come On Come On). Just a 2 mile loop down to the shore road and round the main road and back home. Maeve stayed at home with Apothecary7. A cuppa accompanied by potato scones was had thereafter.

Later there was sticking of thin hand coloured paper on my latest papier-mâché Christmas bauble, and gesso application on my other two developing pieces as ground for painting. Apothecary7 was using gesso too, and sticking tiny lino cut prints on her Christmas Bauble.
