Sun bursting over the Alps

Because there is so little snow at the moment, you have to walk up the pistes (called skinning) to ski down them! This lake should be completely frozen and covered in snow, hmm.

I am privileged to be invited to skin and ski with some much younger friends, they are so wonderfully encouraging as I reach the summits eventually! In the extra is "Our Linds" as everyone calls her, a superb ski instructor who I have known since she was 4!
