Whooper Swan Love

I visited Martin Mere this afternoon to see the returning Whooper Swans, and to meet up with fellow blipper and LPH friend tonym.

The weather was pretty nasty. Several hours of rainfall and windy! In spite of this it was lovely to meet up again. We've shared 2 photographic workshops in the Lake District under the guidance of John Gravett.

The swans come back to this spot every winter and are fed every afternoon. It's quite a spectacle to see them. It's a particularly noisy affair, with lots of squabbling (see the extra shot.)
