Flotsam from the floods

After another day of incessant rain, there are more flood alerts than ever in place in Yorkshire.
Having said that, things are not as bad as in Cumbria where they have suffered terribly over the last week.
Down by the River Wharfe in Wetherby today, the picnic tables were occupied by piles of debris deposited there by the recent very high water levels. I guess they were only still there because they are bolted into the concrete path.

(strictly speaking, the term flotsam refers to marine debris, but I liked the sound of it)
