Jolly Old Santa

Every Christmas season, the local firehall is decorated and xmas carols can be heard through the streets from its speakers.  This Santa is one of the decorations, and I think the same one has  been on display  for many years.  I like the old fashioned look to it and the sheep that are appropriate for Salt Spring.  It looks like the firehall could do with a paint job.
One of the extras is of an elf, also on the firehall.  G thought that a good title for it would be Nightmare on Elm Street.   Funny guy.  It might be a bit alarming in another location!
We went down to Burgoyne for a walk and were shocked to see a huge Douglas fir that had snapped in the recent wind storms.   No idea how it missed the little shack there, but it obviously took out some power lines.  I took a photo of G as he walked by it to show where it snapped and how huge it was and added it as a second extra.  Sad to see it gone!
