This morning we woke up to no water, again, because last week's water pipe patch apparently busted over night. With no water came no air conditioning so with the 100 degree heat the apartment got quite stifling. All that made it difficult to get any work done although we managed to go to the grocery store, Home Depot, and the studio all before 11 am. Around 3 pm we ventured out to look at the progress. Seems the original Kansas City water pipes were installed in 1890 and are made of cast iron which is now brittle and prone to snapping when the ground shifts, in say, extreme heat...
