ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti visited the National Museum of Scotland today, attending an event to celebrate the launch this morning of her colleague Major Tim Peake aboard a Soyuz spacecraft from Baikonur Cosmodrome, bound for a six-month tour of the International Space Station.

It was all quite exciting.
