An Australian native Blue Banded Bee. I have spent at least 2 weeks trying to capture one of these very energetic bees. They dart around very quickly and by the time the focus is right they are not there. Today they seemed to be just a little bit slower. This one seems to have its tongue out ready to feast on some nectar from the blue Salvia .
