Salade de Neufchâtel

Neufchâtel is one of France's oldest cheeses, and it just so happens to be one of my favourites. So an apt cheese to start my 365 French Cheese Challenge. The earliest record of this cheese dates back to the 6th century AD, and it comes from the Pays de Bray area of France, named after the town of Neufchâtel-en-Bray. This evening I had it on a lightly dressed, plain salad of mixed lettuce leaves with a tomato and apple chutney.
