Grand Palace

A day of experiences and stunning buildings. First we had a tuk tuk ride. Scary as the driver weaved in and out of traffic getting into spaces that seemed too small. Then a 2 hour river ride including some canals. We saw water snakes monitor lizards, floating rubbish and riverside homes, many very poor houses alongside sumptuous ones. Then a visit to Wat Pho Bangkok's oldest and biggest temple and then a visit to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo, then a tuk tuk back to the hotel in rush hour. We were ready to relax in the hotel pool after all that culture and tension!
