Land of Lush

Madeira is absolutely beautiful. We're staying on a farm - a Quinta -but it's not like any UK farm, it's steeply terraced with canopies of grapevines and sub-tropical plants. There are banana plantations here, and poinsettias growing wild - all mixed up with fishing and Catholicism. It's fascinating!
