Hydrangea

We were very pleased with the 12 mm of rain that fell last night. However the local cherry growers would have been extremely worried. Last night I heard a helicopter hovering not far away from us. I suspect it was attempting to dry the cherry crop. We are most concerned to hear of the hailstorms which devastated the fruit crops in the Nelson region over the hill from here.
It is so sad for the growers.
Here in our garden a lovely hydrangea is starting to flower.
