Speed Excites

This fairground contraption attraction is installed at Aberdeen's Christmas village. It stands 50 metres high and apparently it reaches speeds of up to 83 mph in the gondolas. Although I have used a fast exposure speed it did not seem to be going that fast when I took the photograph. The only customers were a group of school girls on their lunch break, perhaps the operator was being gentle.
