Bruges

After breakfast we caught the train to Bruges, and easily found our apartment. It was a bit of a drizzly day, but Bruges is so pretty it really didn't matter. We spent the day walking round and exploring the cobbled streets and the shops (and the chocolates they contained). When the rain got worse we took a covered horse and trap ride around the town and warmed up with the most decadent hot chocolate I've ever had. It was then time for a few beers before dinner, and an evening stroll around the Christmas market. There was a 10K race through the town with the runners dressed in santa hats, which provided entertainment over our Gluhweins.
