Palace of Justice

Day 4 of Courts of Malaysia.

I'm traveling through Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya back to the office, cutting my roadtrip short, skipping Pahang due to some drama back at the office.

The Kuala Lumpur Court Complex is not photogenic. 'Nuff said.

The Palace of Justice in Putrajaya (an artificial township created to house the federal administration) befits its name, palace. Expansive, lofty and regal, it hushes people into respect of the space. Staff patter about like servants in the palace, not to be heard, not to be seen.

The place abounds in geometric design and art, almost every surface of it is etched in some geometric line, glossy marble and towering columns. Don't expect art of people or animals here, it's very much in keeping with Islamic philosophies on art: only geometry, no depictions of what god creates. I went shutter crazy with this one.

Caught up with Priya who works in the finance department here before grabbing early dinner with other friends in neighbouring Cyberjaya and driving home.
