The Way of Colour

Knotty

Warm at 19C and dry today, although the haar keeps rolling in from the sea from time to time.

Maeve the Deerhound and I were very warm on our walk. It was very sunny for walking down the bridle path towards the shore, but when we got to the beach we could see no more than 30 or 40 yards out over the sea. The tide was high when we were on the beach and Maeve had fun skipping away from the waves as they rushed towards her over the small area of harder sand where it is easier to walk. Not a soul to be seen at the Fishermen's huts, so we had a look around one or two places to hunt for blips.

One or two people were in their gardens between East Row and the beach and we all smiled and waved. Maeve has been enjoying meeting the people if they have been on the little private road between the cottages and the gardens. She rarely refuses attention, although she can get a bit overenthusiastic and seems to enjoy bumping people with her head :-)

The blip is peeling paint layers and a knot in the wood of a sheet of board in an old boat.
