We have spent an extra day near Stratford before driving home tomorrow. Hoping that the Saturday before Christmas might be a bit better than the Friday on the motorways.

This morning we decided to walk along the canal towpath to Stratford (about 4 miles). We needed the exercise after two fairly inactive days. This narrow boat was making its way through the locks towards Stratford for the rest of the winter.

I was surprised to see 2 daffodils in full bloom by the side of the path. I suppose with the mild weather I shouldn't have been. See extra.
