This island tramway ran from Rothesay to Ettrick Bay on the west coast of Bute. Tram number 1 is seen here at Ettrick Bay repainted in blue and white when SMT took ownership in 1931
The trams days were numbered and the clue is the 1930 Albion bus behind. By 1936 the tramway closed and buses took over the route
