Pre-Emergence Spraying

Bob, one of our neighbors is applying pre-emergence spray. Application at this time prevents germination of weed seeds and the need for extensive weed killing and weed whacking later in the season. Timing is important because the Monsoon rains are coming. Forecast is for 50% chance of rain today and 70% for tomorrow.

Bob is part of the Common Areas Crew that keeps the roadsides and pathways neat and attractive. This program is part of the services provided by our Homeowners Association (HOA) and is paid for with our Dues.

The HOA also maintains the Clubhouses, Restaurants, Fitness Centers, Tennis Courts, Swimming Pools, and Roads. More importantly, the HOA plans for the future with a Reserve Fund to provide for replacements and upgrades. Hopefully, the Reserve Fund will eliminate the need for future homeowner assessments. Road Replacement is a major investment as are Clubhouse and other Facility Renovations

We pay about $125 per month for HOA Dues. Far as I am concerned, it is a Bargain because we have people like Bob to maintain high standards in the place that we live and play.
