Ramblings and Mutterings

World Heritage

I’ve spoken before about my love for history, and I’m sure you all know of my love for walking.  So today the two were combined and we walked Gilwern Hill and Clydach Gorge to see the industry on which South Wales was built.  Today it was iron ore rather than mining, and old abandoned ironworks.  Some great examples of history still there on the hills, and it really is historic as it’s part of a World Heritage site linked with the Blaenavon ironworks.  A really interesting walk which had it all.

In other news hello black dog.
