Christmas Tree Cat

Lots of moaning to follow, so if you'd rather not read it just admire Simba under the tree and move on to the next person's blip!!

We're not having a very good December so far:-(

There was the new computer saga.  Then there was the broadband saga.  After that there was the gas boiler saga.. All three are still unresolved in their entirety, although bits are okay.  Today, we had the Christmas tree saga!!

I won't bore you with all the details, but the end result was that the tree had to be stripped of all its decorations and lights (3 sets), so that more could be cut from the trunk (it wasn't drinking enough) and the set of lights that had failed could be removed.

While all this was happening, we were also dealing with British Gas over a disputed contract (still waiting for a promised phone call!) and with British Telecom because the b****y broadband has gone on the blink again!  The new Infinity worked perfectly all weekend, but decided to play up today.

Following instructions from their engineer, we have had to connect the Hub and our telephone to the main BT inlet, which just happens to be in the hall and nowhere near a plug, so there are cables and wires all over the place and the phone is sitting on the carpet.  It has to stay like this until Wednesday, so that more line tests can be done and if it's still not working 100% of the time, they will have to send an engineer to the house.  It's working at the moment, so I'm posting this quickly before it goes again:-)

The good news is that the Christmas tree is dressed in all its finery again (although with just 2 sets of lights this time!) and meets Simba's approval:-)  The bad news is that I have a brand new replacement computer still sitting in its box and which I don't dare set up until the broadband issue is resolved.

Fingers crossed that things can only get better (and if you've read to the end, you're a true blip friend - thank you!)
