Lebkuchen Stars

Americans love making Christmas cookies. It's a tradition and they use recipes handed down through generations. I grew up in England and we bought a special assortment tin of biscuits from the supermarket for Christmas :)

Every Christmas Kate and I get together to bake mutant cookies because we are crap at baking! We have legless Rudolphs, stars without points, misshapen holly leaves and Christmas trees that have snapped in half. We have a good laugh, dunk some of them in chocolate and then toss them in January.

This year I had a go at Lebkuchen Stars from the Bakeoff Christmas book. Dare I say it, they looked just like Mary Berrys in the book. They taste good too. Result!!!!!
