Save Blipfoto: Own Your Life

An incredible opportunity is being presented to anyone who loves Blipfoto. You can be a part of the next chapter in Blipfoto’s journey. You can help secure its future and at the same time influence what happens on the site. It’s within your gift.

The current owners have approached four long-standing blippers who have got together to launch a new initiative. Find out more at blipfuture.com. It is best to register on the site to gain access to all the available information and how far the total pledges have progressed and if you choose to, pledge funding in exchange for shares in the new community interest company. Note there are legal restrictions getting in the way of all blip nations being able to pledge though, something that is being worked on, with the intention of making donations possible.

Also check the blip central blog for more information and guidance. Lastly, sign up to the Blipfoto friends Facebook group to exchange views and feedback, but most importantly be sure to send any feedback on the blip future site.

The outlook for Blipfoto should the funding target not be reached is bleak. In all likelihood the site will close and with it all the blips will be gone. The current owners will not support the site indefinitely. Is this community something we can afford to lose? You decide...

In other news, I attended both Miss C's sharing afternoon at the school. Both parents and children were assembled in her classroom to see performances and to view work completed over the preceding term. After that, it was time for the PTA Christmas Fayre. Master H was doing some very grown up drinking all on his own!
