My nephew. Off to Ilkley for the day for the traditional pre-Christmas gathering of Beck’s family, much enlivened this year by the addition of not two, but four dogs. Finn then insisted quite vociferously on us all playing ‘wink murder’ and ‘ring on a string’, despite a general lack of enthusiasm from the rest of us, and eventually became quite confused at being unable to locate the ring, which had somehow found it’s way off the string and into his Dad’s pocket… Later on Beck and I went to the last date of Kate Rusby’s Christmas Tour at the Royal Concert Hall, so we’re now feeling suitably festive if not a little tired out…
