Winter solstice was this morning in the early hours. Shortest day or not, it seemed pretty long to us as we spent the whole day driving up to the Lake District calling in to see my Dad and also our daughter on the way up.
We are here now and following the floods, Keswick seems very quiet this evening. You could even get a seat in the Dog and Gun. Unheard of!
I've got my sprouts all ready to go on Christmas morning!
Apparently the mild and wet weather has led to humongous weapons grade sprouts this year.
