shotlandka's weebig world

Let it snow!

As it obviously isn't going to actually snow, I'm having to rely on these, the Christmas snowflakes Mum crocheted for our winter atmosphere. I did take some castle and deer photos, but decided to be a little seasonal.

Had a nice lunch out at Lochranza Centre, which my brother in law and a colleague took over recently in a management buy out when it was sold by the big activity holiday company which used to owned it. It didn't fit with their business model any more (not that it ever really did), so Chris and Stuart have decided to go for it, and make a better job of it! The Centre and its staff have a great variety of skills and facilities, so anyone looking for an excellent Field Studies centre (geography, geology and biology), activity centre for a family, school or youth group holiday/trip this is a fantastic option! As it's not really the season for school trips right now, they are staying busy doing very reasonable lunches for the locals every Wednesday, and cheap accommodation for New Year, so if you and your friends or family fancy coming to Arran for New Year, they still have some spaces! And no, I'm not on commission. Though maybe I should be... ;)
