Up on the House Top . . .

Wait! Was that the sound of reindeer hooves on the house top? Or maybe it was more like the sound of tiny orange cat feet. And who was this riding upon the trusty steed? Could it be? The world's tiniest Dancing Girl had arrived just in time for Christmas!

We almost missed her arrival. I was watering my plants at work on Tuesday, my last day in the office, when I heard a tiny coo, not unlike the sound of a dove. Wait, what?!

To my absolute surprise, there, tucked amid the remaining greens of the fuchsia plant, was the tiniest Dancing Girl of all! I couldn't helping thinking of her as Cindy Lou Who, from the Seuss classic, The Grinch.

So we brought little Cindy Lou home, and we had all kinds of fun. She romped around on cat-steeds. She climbed the Christmas tree and sat at the very top like a tiny pink angel. And we sang Christmas songs and made merry. And everything was just a little bit better because she was here.  :-)

The song to accompany this posting is the Gene Autry classic, Up on the House Top. Here's hoping that your holidays are merry and bright, and full of all the things you wish for! May your holidays be full of love, and family time, and good food, . . . and miracles, as Christmas should be. <3
