Deadlock

As in impasse
As in 'No Through Road'
As in cul-de-sac

I cannot blip. My previous two blips had to be uploaded from my laptop because our PC was giving me an error message;
Your socket connection to the server was not read from or written to within the timeout period. Idle connections will be closed.
Now the laptop is doing the same. I have Googled the message and the responses to it are completely over my head. If anyone out there can help in plain English I'd be extremely grateful.

My wonderful sister is posting this on my behalf but I cannot ask her to do this for me relentlessly.
I can however continue to view and to comment so I intend to keep that up at least.
