Happy Christmas on the Beach

Our Christmas present to the Bedlington Boys was their very first run on the beach. 
We live right in the middle of England, and as a consequence they had never been on a beach before today.They couldn't believe their eyes, and must have done about 10 times the distance that we did.We were at Towan beach which is only minutes from our rented cottage on the Roseland Peninsula. 
We had a lovely midnight Skype to Taiwan so that we could watch our family undoing their Christmas pressies. (8am their time). I must admit to having more than a tear in my eye.  At least we were lucky enough to be able to Skype.
The turkey has just come out of the oven, and the sprouts have been bubbling away nicely since mid June, so they should be al dente by now.
My extra was taken on the same beach.
