Poniente

Sunset over the west of Gijon, or "Poniente" as it is known. In the context of the Sun, "poniente" means "setting". Although I've never heard the east-end being called "Naciente" (rising) I have been told that it can be referred to thus.

Tonight we will have the traditional "Noche buena" (Christmas eve) meal. Langoustines galore.

(Trivia time... "galore" is Anglicised Scottish Gaelic, from gu leòr)
