Big Bash League at the WACA

Steve and I were off to the Boxing Day cricket this afternoon at the famous WACA ground.

The Big Bash League is the name for the 20-20 league here. Each team only has 20 overs to score the most runs. Perth Scorchers versus Brisbane Heat. Great atmosphere and definitely less formal than regular test match cricket (fireworks when someone is caught out and flames when Perth scored a 4 or 6!!). Great fun and a comprehensive victory for Perth in the end!

Chatted with the family afterwards on Skype who spent Christmas at Mum and Dad's. Lovely to chat to them all!
