Just for us...

To try to put the memory of too much wine last night behind us, we headed off with my aunt, uncle, cousin and her husband to McLaren Vale for a wine-tasting session and lunch. Specifically, to the d'Arenberg Winery, which was fun as we'd actually tried some of their wines before so knew a little what to expect.

The wine tasting was a bit of a mammoth effort. We ordered lunch, and went off to taste a bucketload of whites before selecting something to have with our starters. After we'd eaten the starter and drunk the first wine (a really nice dry Riesling, which was a surprise to the biased Irish participants), we went back to the tasting room to select the accompaniment to our main course.

Finally, we went back in and tried, well, basically every other wine we'd missed first time around.

While we were off destroying brain cells, the kids were being taken to the beach by their cousins to sample the world's largest inflatable water slide, cunningly named The Big Wedgie.

A great day all round. I could get used to this...
