Roasting chestnuts on the open fire...

We've been in all day. I think I've begun to hibernate....

J and A left after breakfast to spend the day with friends. They visited Decathlon first to get offers on snow boots and jackets for the trip to Norway tomorrow. I emptied the dishwasher and packed everything away. D chopped some more logs for the fire.

So a day of pootling, and some laptop admin....and the gift of time to do it in. I even began a jigsaw puzzle.

Andrea has been in charge of chestnut and marshmallow roasting this evening. 

We're so grateful to be in the dry and warm of home and have been following the flooding in other parts of the country with great sympathy.
